Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1753, constructed from rubble stone with a stone tiled roof, and features two storeys and an attic. The original structure has coped gables and brick end wall stacks, but has been extended at both ends; the east end includes a large ashlar stack, while the west end has a smaller corniced ashlar stack. The central range has two hipped dormers and an upper section with four flush 2-light cyma-moulded mullion windows. There is a string course and a ground floor that features a stone doorcase with a hood on brackets, dated R.S. 1753, along with a six-panel door and a 2-light mullion window on each side. To the left, there is a projecting single-storey gabled room with a hollow chamfer 2-light west window. The west end section has a 2-light hollow chamfer window on each floor, partially obscured by a stone tiled lean-to, and a plank door. The garden front is similar to the entrance front, with a carved R.S. 1753 above the door, but it has a later ashlar porch with a coped gable in front. The east end extension has one window range, while the west end features a two-window range with a hipped dormer.
