Description
There are five chest tombs grouped together in the churchyard, located between 5 and 11 metres south of the south transept of the Church of St. Peter. These tombs date from the early 18th century to the 19th century and are made of limestone. Four of the tombs share the same design, featuring a plinth, two fielded panels on the main sides, and a chamfered flat top. The fifth tomb, dedicated to Sarah Lewis who died in 1723, has a plinth, one fielded panel on the main sides, quarter balusters at the corners, and a corniced flat top.
