Description

The Statue of Athene, dating from the 1740s, was created for Francis Yerbury. It is a lead statue positioned on a limestone plinth. The statue depicts Athene, who is helmeted and dressed in Roman attire, holding a shield in her raised left hand. It is aligned with and grouped alongside an urn to the south of the pedimented south front of Belcombe Court.
