Description

The Bradford on Avon Rowing Club War Memorial is a war memorial erected around 1920. It is made of roughly-hewn limestone and features a bronze plaque on its east face. Located within the grounds of the Bradford on Avon Rowing Club, near the boathouse, the memorial takes the form of an upright boulder. The plaque displays the rowing club’s badge at the top, followed by the inscription:

IN MEMORY OF / THE MEMBERS OF THE / BRADFORD ON AVON / ROWING CLUB / WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES / FOR THEIR COUNTRY / IN THE GREAT WAR / 1914-18 / (NAMES).

This memorial honors the five members of the rowing club who lost their lives during the Great War.
