Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with alterations and additions made in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of Flemish bond brick and features a tiled roof with brick end stacks. The house includes an outshut and later additions at the rear. The two-storey, three-window front is a mid-19th century refacing of the original early 18th-century facade. The central entrance has a six-panelled and glazed door set within a wooden arched flat-roofed porch. On either side of the door are three-light segmental-headed casements. To the left, there is a late 18th-century single-storey, one-bay extension with cast-iron French windows and a 20th-century dormer on the tiled roof. The first floor features three two-light segmental-headed casements, with the central bay slightly projecting. Plain pilasters are located on either side of the front, topped with a stepped brick cornice. The left return has a 20th-century window on the ground floor and a 19th-century extension at the rear. The right return is also built in Flemish bond brick, featuring a three-brick plat band at the first floor and one blocked window on both floors. At the rear, there is a late 18th-century two-storey extension in the centre, which includes a four-light casement on the ground floor and a three-light wooden casement with leaded panes on the first floor, topped with a hipped roof. To the left of the rear is a 19th-century gabled extension of two storeys, with four-pane sashes on both floors. Inside, the farmhouse has a newel staircase with turned balusters in the central entrance hall, chamfered ceiling beams on the ground floor, and doors with fielded panels.
