Description

This is a mid-18th century house of red brick with ashlar dressings and a concrete tiled roof, half-hipped to the north. A south-end chimney stack is present. The building has two storeys and a three-window front. It features cyma-moulded flush stone mullion windows, with three lights on each side and two lights on the first floor, centred above the front door. The front door is within a chamfered stone surround. The ground floor window surrounds are brick with brick voussoirs and ashlar keystones above. Flush quoins are present, as is a raised first floor band. Single-storey additions have been made to each end of the original building. A Sun Fire plaque, number 300102, is affixed to the front. According to a 1952 provisional list, the house originally had a thatched roof and a six-panel front door.
