Description
West View is a house dating from the 18th century and early 19th century, constructed of red brick with a hipped eaves roof covered in Bridgwater tiles and featuring two rear wall stacks. The building has two storeys and was originally designed with a two-window range, which has since been extended to three. The original section includes two round-arched windows on the first floor, each with casement pairs and Y-tracery top-lights. On the ground floor, there is a similar arched window to the left, followed by a blocked original centre door, and then a door located under a tiled porch. The right side of the house features an addition with a similar arched upper window and a ground floor door with a cambered head, along with a lean-to to the right that has a similar door, both under a tiled porch. The house was thatched until around 1920 and is noted to have been licensed as a conventicle in 1724.
