Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century farmhouse, originally known as Lower Durlett Farmhouse. It is constructed of red brick with half-hipped roofs covered in Bridgwater tiles, and features a ridge stack on a cross-wing. The house follows an L-shaped plan and has raised brick eaves. The front elevation incorporates a cross-wing on the left, with a triple casement window on each floor, both featuring gauged brick heads and flush keystones. To the right of the cross-wing is a three-window range, with a central six-panel door. A ground floor window on the left has a cambered brick head, while a right-hand window possesses a gauged brick head with an ashlar flush keystone. All casements have been renewed. A pair of upper casements is visible on the south end wall, positioned within what was formerly a loading door. The cross-wing’s north wall is blank. Inside, the cross-wing contains a fireplace with chamfered beams and a timber lintel.
