Description
Clenche Farmhouse is a 17th-century house with a timber frame and a thatched half-hipped roof, featuring an axial stack. The building has one and a half storeys and displays exposed framing. The front of the house previously had three eyebrow dormers above a central casement window and a pair of casements on each side, but the wall has been built up on either side of the central window. The ground floor includes a pair of casement windows and a door located in a hipped thatched porch, along with two pairs of casements and another casement window. To the right, there are 20th-century additions made of painted brick with thatched roofs. The left end wall shows exposed framing and has a pair of casements on each floor. The rear features painted brickwork and a thatched rear wing with an end stack, which may have originally been timber-framed. On the east side, there is a large eyebrow dormer above two triple casements, and the ground floor has three pairs of casements. The rear of the main range also shows exposed framing and has an eyebrow dormer to the left. Inside, there is a Tudor-arched stone fireplace.
