Description
The Lodge is a building from the early 19th century, serving as the lodge to Rowdeford House. It features a roughcast exterior with a thatched hipped roof and a rear stack. The single-storey structure is designed in a picturesque style, showcasing stone mullion windows that have hoodmoulds and timber cusping applied to the heads of the lights. There are two ground floor 2-light windows on either side of a central door, which is set in a Tudor-arched surround with a hoodmould. A tiled gabled timber porch with cusped barge boards adds to its charm. The end walls also have similar 3-light windows, and leaded lights are present throughout the building. The structure includes raised angle piers and features a thatched rear wing with a similar 2-light window at the end.
