Description
The Cleaver Inn is an early 19th-century inn located in Collingbourne Kingston. It is constructed of diaper brick and features a tiled roof. The building has two storeys and a cellar, with an 'L'-shaped plan that includes five bays facing the road and a return wing on the left. The front elevation is accentuated by end pilasters, a stone cornice, and a medial band. The entrance, located in the fourth bay, consists of a six-panelled door with a flat canopy raised over steps. The windows are sixteen-paned sashes with stone wedge lintels. There is a stack positioned between the first and second bays, as well as one on the right gable. The return wing has a symmetrical three-bay elevation with a central door and a porch supported by iron columns, flanked by canted bay windows. The upper floor features twelve-paned sashes.
