Description
The General Stores in Collingbourne Kingston is a shop, sub post office, and dwelling that dates back to the 17th century, with extensions added in the 19th century. The building is single storey and attic, originally raised to two storeys, and features three bays. To the left, there is a single storey, two bay extension. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door topped by a flat canopy supported on consoles. A plat band runs along the building. The windows on the first floor are a mix of 20th-century metal and wood. The structure has gable stacks, and the extension includes a door with a glazed panel and a 20th-century window. The roof is hipped at the left end beyond the stack and has a single purlin construction.
