Description
The Lodge to New Hall is an early 19th-century building located in Bodenham Village. It is constructed of painted Flemish bond brick and features a Welsh slate half-hipped roof with a brick stack. The lodge has a T-plan layout and is one storey high with an attic, containing two windows. The entrance includes a four-panelled door set in a pointed opening, positioned to the left of the center, accompanied by two 2-light pointed casements with Gothick leading on the right. In the attic, there are two dormers, each with 2-light pointed casements and curved lead roofs. The right side of the building has one 2-light casement with a cambered head and another with a square head. At the rear, there is a 20th-century flat-roofed extension on the right, along with a 2-light casement with a cambered head on both floors of the rear wing. The lodge is situated at the entrance of the drive leading to New Hall, which is a late 19th-century house that replaced an earlier building designed by James Wyatt. The interior has not been inspected.
