Description

The Hideaway is a detached cottage dating from 1771, as indicated by the tablet above the front door. It is constructed of English bond brick with flint footings and features a thatched roof with a brick stack on the left side. The cottage is single storey with an attic and has a two-window front. The central entrance consists of a 6-panelled 20th-century door, flanked by two 2-light leaded casement windows. There are two eyebrow dormers, each with 2-light leaded casements. Both the left and right sides of the cottage are windowless. At the rear, there are 20th-century casement windows on the ground floor. The interior was not accessible during the survey conducted in September 1984.
