Description

The orangery, located in the gardens to the east of Nunton House, dates from around 1720. It is constructed of English bond brick and features a tiled hipped roof. The building is a single storey with a five-bay front. In the center, there are French windows topped with a fanlight, flanked by two 15-pane sash windows on either side. The structure has a low brick plinth and gauged brick quoins. A modillioned cornice extends in an arch over the fanlight. The rear and sides of the orangery are windowless. Inside, there is a stone floor. This orangery is contemporary with Nunton House.
