Description

This listing describes a pair of gate piers and attached walls located at the north-east entrance to Quemerford House in Calne. The structures date from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. They are made of limestone ashlar, with squared, coursed limestone rubble walls. The gate piers are capped and feature sunken panels. Each side of the entrance has a wall that curves for approximately 2 meters. The entrance is completed with a timber gate.
