Group Of 6 Stride Monuments In Churchyard, Approximately 3 To 7 Metres South Of South Aisle, Church Of All Saints

A group of six Stride monuments is located in the churchyard, approximately 3 to 7 meters south of the south aisle of the Church of All Saints. These monuments date from the early to mid-19th century and are all made of limestone.

In the east row, there are two headstones. The first has a shaped top and features inscriptions in panels with scrolls above, dedicated to Philip Stride, who died in 1838, and his wife Susanna. The second headstone is similar and commemorates their daughter, Charlotte Stride, who died in 1833.

In the center, there is a tapered coffin tomb that is not identified. In the west row, the first monument is a chest tomb with a plain inscribed table and a moulded base, featuring panels with scalloped margins, dedicated to John Stride, who died in 1816. The next monument is an unidentified coffin tomb, followed by another chest tomb similar to the first, though its inscription is not readable.
