Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 18th century, with mid-19th century alterations and a rear wing. It is constructed of rubble stone and features a tiled roof, which was formerly thatched, with a half hip to the left and brick stacks. The building has an 'L'-shaped plan and is two stories high with four windows. The windows are sashes, and the entrance includes a six-panelled door with a transom light and a Tuscan porch supported by columns, pilasters, and an entablature. To the right of the entrance, there is a tripartite sash window, and to the left, there are two tripartite sashes. On the first floor, there are four 12-pane sashes. The left side of the building has a 12-pane sash on both the ground and first floors, along with a stone moulded bull's-eye window in the attic. The rear wing contains a 20th-century door and 12-pane sashes. The right side features 12-pane sashes on the ground floor, while the first floor has a 2-light casement and a 1-light recessed chamfered casement. The interior was not accessible during the survey in June 1985, but it is noted to have six-panelled doors and window shutters.
