Description
No 28 on Stallard Street is a slightly larger end of terrace house built around 1824. It has two storeys and is constructed from Bath stone ashlar, featuring side piers, a cornice, and a parapet. There is a string course at the first floor level. The first floor has three windows set in recessed surrounds, which are fitted with glazing bar sashes. On the ground floor, there are two similar windows and a six-panel door that has a rectangular fanlight with a diamond and rhomboid pattern. The ground floor windows are adorned with delicate cast iron fret pattern surrounds, which are linked to a continuous cast iron panelled band with a scroll pattern, framing a lattice wood trellis that spans the entire ground floor. The house has a projecting porch with scrolled wrought iron work and two ashlar chimneys. This property is part of a group with Nos 28 to 35, known as St George's Terrace, which includes garden walls, railings, and gate piers.
