Description
The Little House, built in the early 19th century, is a two-storey structure featuring stucco on brick. It has a projecting plinth, a moulded cornice, and a parapet with stone coping that extends up the gable ends. The roof is slate.
On the first floor, there are three five-light casements and one two-light casement located in the second bay from the right. The ground floor has two three-light casements and a six-panel door in the second bay from the right, which is flanked by sidelights and framed simply. This door is sheltered by a stone Doric porch that includes outer piers, two columns, wall pilasters, an entablature, and a blocking course. To the right of the door are French casements. All windows, including the French casements, feature a large diamond glazing pattern.
At the rear, there are two extensions, one of which has three ranges of glazing bar windows. The property includes a long garden bordered by a dwarf wall and railings along the road. The wall ramps up at each end to stone piers, and the spearhead railings are supported by dog leg stanchions. The gate features dog rails and decorative panels on the standards.
