Description
Brookhaven, dating from the 18th century, was originally three cottages. The building is two storeys high and constructed of brick on a projecting stone plinth. It features a brick dentilled string at the first floor level, with burnt headers in the gaps of the dentils. The structure has projecting angle piers with vitreous brick central headers and an old tile roof that is hipped on the right side. The first floor has six glazing bar sash windows, each with slightly projecting rubbed brick aprons. The original configuration included three windows and three doors, but it has been altered to now feature two doors and four windows, the latter also having aprons and rubbed brick flat arches. The doorways are plain and fitted with modern half-glazed doors.
