Description

The Old Police House and Little Manor are two houses dating from the 18th century. The Old Police House is constructed of rubble stone with ashlar dressings and stone slates, while Little Manor has Bridgwater tiles. The Old Police House is a two-storey-attic building with end stacks. It features beaded two-light mullion windows, three above and four below a central flush-panelled door within a flush surround. Flush quoins are visible on the left side and the upper part of the right corner. Little Manor, attached to the right, is lower in height and has a west end stack. It has a two-window range of similar three-light windows on the upper floor, and a pair of sash windows and a two-light mullion window below. A parallel rear range and 20th-century additions are located behind. Little Manor’s proper address is Chestnut Road.
