Description

Bell Cottage is a house dating from the 17th or early 18th century, situated on the north side of Sutton Benger High Street. It is built of painted rubble stone and has a thatched roof, with a stack on the south end. The original part of the house is a one-and-a-half-storey, two-window range, with a matching two-window addition built in the 20th century to the north. The original range features casement windows, two of which are set under eyebrow dormers, one above, and one below, with a door set within a hipped thatched porch. The rear of the house has a swept roofline and ground floor casement windows. This building demonstrates group value from the period.
