Description

Sutton House is a mid-18th century house located on the north side of High Street in Sutton Benger. The building is constructed of painted rubble stone with a stone slate roof, featuring coped gables and end stacks. It is two storeys high with an attic, and has a three-window front. Three hipped dormers are present, each with triple casement windows. The windows are cyma-moulded flush mullion windows with hoodmoulds and small-paned lights; three two-light windows are above, alongside a three-light, a two-light window. A modern lean-to porch and door have replaced a window at the front. Flush quoins are visible on the south gable end. The rear elevation incorporates similar two-light windows, two on each floor, and a central two-light stair window. A door is set in a flush moulded surround to the left of centre.
