Description

South Mill House is an early 19th-century house located on the east side of South Mill Road, Amesbury. It is built of rendered brick and has a slate roof. The house is two storeys high and consists of three bays across the front and one bay deep. The design is symmetrical, arranged around a central stair hall. The front entrance has a half-glazed door with a fanlight, set within a reeded timber doorcase with a minimal cornice. There are sixteen-paned sash windows throughout. The eaves are boxed, and the roof is hipped with one buff brick stack. A kitchen extension has been added to the rear of the building.
