Description

The balustrading in the gardens of Heale House dates from around 1900 and is made of stone. It features vertically symmetrical balusters that support a heavy handrail. One section of the balustrading runs along the river to the east of the house and includes a paired flight of steps leading to a landing stage. Another section is located to the south-west of the house's front, with a Z-return that connects to the stables and extends across the west front of the house. This balustrading is important to the overall setting of Heale House.
