Description

Poughcombe Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse, altered in the early 19th century. The farmhouse is built of colourwashed brick with a sarsen gable and a rear wall of brick. It has a tiled roof. The building is two storeys high with four wide bays. The main entrance is in the second bay and consists of a six-panelled door with side-lights, set within a tall, early 19th-century portico topped by a flat entablature. To either side of the entrance are canted bays featuring 20-pane sashes. There are cogged eaves. A stack is located in the left gable, and a large brick stack sits between the third and fourth bays. The roof is hipped on the left side. The farmhouse is connected to the rear with a wing belonging to East Holm Farm.
