Description
Pear Tree Cottage is a detached cottage dating from around 1700. It is built of dressed limestone and features a tiled roof with coped verges and gable end brick stacks. The cottage is two stories high and has three windows. The central door, which is from the 20th century, is set in a gabled timber and stone porch, with a three-light ovolo-mullioned casement window on either side. On the first floor, there are two three-light ovolo-mullioned casements flanking a two-light mullioned casement. The saddleback coped verges add to its character. The side returns have 20th-century casements. At the rear, there is a lean-to extension from the 1930s that replaced a former outshut, with 20th-century casements on the first floor. Inside, the cottage features chamfered beams.
