Description
Coachman's Cottage is a 17th-century cottage that was altered in the 18th century. It features a timber frame with wattle and daub, and brick infillings, with the gable and west side constructed of brick. The cottage has a thatched roof and is a single storey with an attic. It consists of one bay, extended by a half bay that is also framed, along with a further 20th-century flat-roofed extension. The gable faces the street, and the framing consists of three panels high with tension braces, while the brickwork was refaced in the 18th century. There is a 20th-century door on the side and a secondary door in the rear extension. The roof is half hipped. Inside, the cottage features a chamfered spine beam and a stack in the angle of the room.
