Description

This is a row of six early 19th-century houses, numbered 1 to 6, located on De Vaux Place. The houses are three stories high with attics, and are built of painted stucco. They have wide eaves supported by coupled flat brackets and slate roofs. Each house originally had two windows to the upper floors and a double French casement window on the ground floor, alongside a six-panel door with a three-pane rectangular fanlight. A two-story extension is present on the right-hand side, featuring a single window on the first floor and a French casement window on the ground floor. Dormers are present on numbers 1, 2, and 6. The backs of the houses have six-panel doors. Ground floor areas feature pent roofs made of slate or glass, serving as verandahs. Numbers 1 to 6 form a group.
