Description

The Clarke monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard about 5 metres south of the porch of the Church of St. John the Baptist in Bishopstone. It commemorates William Clarke, who died in 1700. The tomb is made of limestone and features a plinth with two plain inscription panels on the main sides, topped with a chamfered flat surface.
