Description
22 Church Street is an early 19th-century building that stands two storeys tall. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble with ashlar quoins and features a slate roof with coped verges and footstones. The building has gable end chimneys and three windows on the first floor, along with two on the ground floor, all of which are glazing bar casements. The windows include two-light moulded wooden mullion windows with high dripmoulds. The central door also has dripmoulds. To the left, there is a two-storey lean-to that is slightly set back, which has a small pointed ground floor window facing north. This building, along with Nos 23, 24, and 25, creates a picturesque approach to the Minster Church. There is also a further 'L' plan two-storey extension, mostly made of brick, that dates from the mid to late 19th century.
