Description
This is a late 18th-century house, originally symmetrical in design, that was later divided into two dwellings and subsequently reunited into one. The construction is of roughly squared limestone rubble with limestone dressings, a brick gable and ridge stacks, and a stone slate roof. It follows a double-depth plan and stands three storeys high with a three-window front. The original central doorway has been converted into an entrance, and in the mid-19th century, doorways were added to either side; the doorway on the right is now blocked, while the left-hand doorway has a half-glazed door. The windows are mostly horned sash windows with margin bars. The central and right-hand windows feature shop fronts with consoles and cornices, alongside mid-20th century casements. The interior has not been inspected.
