Description

The White Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th or early 18th century, constructed of painted rubble stone with a Bridgwater tile roof, coped gables, and end wall stacks. It is a one-and-a-half-storey, double-fronted building featuring two dormer gables and recessed ovolo-moulded mullion windows with hoodmoulds. Each dormer gable has a two-light window, while the ground floor has a single light and a three-light window. A central, gabled porch was added in the 20th century. A single light with a hoodmould is present on the south end wall. The rear elevation incorporates one dormer gable with a two-light window and hoodmould, alongside two ground-floor two-light windows with hoodmoulds. A date of 1704 is scratched into a cornerstone on the south end wall.
