Description

Wick Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage located at the end of a row on Breamore Road in Downton. It is timber-framed with a thatched roof and features a brick stack on the right side. The cottage is single-storey with an attic and has one window. There is a door located in a 20th-century porch, with a two-light casement window to the left and another two-light casement in the attic. The right side of the cottage is constructed in Flemish bond brick and also has a two-light casement window. At the rear, there is a 20th-century kitchen extension. Inside, the cottage includes chamfered beams with convex stops, a chamfered lintel above an open fireplace, and winding stairs located on the east side of the fireplace.
