Description
Crossways is a semi-detached house built in the mid-19th century. It features Flemish bond brickwork and a Welsh slate roof with brick stacks. The building is L-shaped, two stories high, and has a five-window front. There is a four-panelled door in a panelled case with a cornice located to the right of center. To the right of the door is a 9-pane sash window with margin panes and a square bay window, while to the left is a tripartite sash window and another square bay window.
On the first floor, there are four 9-pane sash windows with margin panes and flat arches, along with a two-light casement window on the left. The house features brick pilasters with simple capitals on both sides. The two gables have wavy barge-boards, and the brick stacks are topped with moulded capping and decorated pots. The left side of the house has the same barge-boards but no windows.
At the rear, there is a wrought-iron glazed verandah on the ground floor, along with tripartite sash windows and additional sashes with margin panes. A single-storey extension with barge-boards is attached to the right, and a two-storey wing with margin-pane sashes is attached to the left. The interior has not been inspected.
