Description

Moor Farmhouse is an early 17th-century farmhouse with 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of rubble with concrete lintels and has a gabled stone slate roof, topped by two ridge stone stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan, featuring an advanced wing to the left and further gables to a parallel range. The south front is two-storey and has an attic. Modern casement windows with plastic frames are set into the ground and first floors on the right-hand side, and a gabled dormer is centrally positioned. A lean-to porch with a single stone supporting pier sits in the angle between the building ranges and contains a six-panel door with two top lights, along with a plank door to the right. A chamfered oak mullion window with three lights is found on the first floor of the east end wall. Inside, a large inglenook fireplace with chamfered jambs and an oak lintel is in the ground floor room to the left. Both the ground and upper floor rooms feature several deep chamfered beams.
