Description

The barn, stable and granary dates to the 17th or 18th century. It is timber framed with weatherboard cladding, sitting on brick footings, and has a corrugated iron roof. The building comprises a central barn of three bays, a two-bay stable with a granary above at the south end, and a two-bay store at the north end. Eaves have been raised over the centrally located boarded cart doors. Inside, there are jowled posts with braces supporting tie beams, and raking struts to collars clasped by a single tier of purlins. The principals diminish above the purlins. A significant amount of timber has been reused in the structure. Straight windbraces are visible in the central bay. The barn was in poor condition when surveyed in July 1986.
