Description
Old Bell House is a house in a row, originally built as an inn, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. The front of the building was reconstructed in the early 20th century after a fire. It has three bays, with a central entrance beneath a pent roof tiled with tiles. The windows are timber frame, three-light, with overlights and timber lintels shaped on the lower arris; the upper-floor windows are similar but lack overlights. The rear of the building is brick and likely represents an extension of a 17th-century structure, of which number 30 is the western bay. The property is included on the heritage list primarily for its contribution to the visual coherence of the surrounding area.
