Description

The property is a house, likely dating from the 16th or early 17th century. It is roughcast with a pantiled roof. It is two storeys high and has two bays. A 20th-century door is set beneath a slate canopy. The ground floor has timber casement windows, while the first floor has four-light painted stone-mullioned windows. There is a similar timber window to the rear. A large axial stack is located in the left gable, featuring two diagonally-set brick flues. A 20th-century lean-to has been added to the rear. The interior includes a blocked fireplace and two deeply chamfered beams. It represents the sole surviving early structure within the central market place of the town.
