Description

The bridge at Hale Farm is an 18th-century structure that carries farm access over the River Bourne. It is built of brick in English bond and features two arches made of two half brick rings supported by a central pier. There is a cutwater on the upstream side, and the pier extends downstream. A central half-brick buttress rises to the parapet, which has a three-course string at its base and half-round brick copings. The end piers are capped with stone terminal blocks that are 45 centimeters high.
