Description

Marsh Lane Bridge is a road bridge over the Kennet and Avon Canal, built around 1800. It is constructed of red brick and features a raised band. The bridge has a main arch that spans the canal and a smaller arch to the south for the towpath. The smaller arches are an original feature of this section of the canal, likely built for the tramway that connected the two halves of the canal before the Caen Hill flight was completed.
