Description
Manor Farm Cottage is a two-storey cottage, originally two cottages combined into one, dating from the mid-17th century with an 18th-century addition. It is constructed of coursed rubble stone with a thatched roof and brick stacks. The cottage is arranged in an L-plan layout. The front has two windows, with a planked door to the right, now set within a 20th-century thatched porch. To the left of the door is a two-light casement window, and above is a three-light casement. The 18th-century wing to the left has two two-light casement windows on the ground floor, one of which is in a blocked doorway, and a single two-light casement window on the first floor. A 20th-century lean-to extension is on the right return, and a 20th-century glazed door and casement are on the left return. The wing also has 20th-century casement windows. The rear of the cottage has 20th-century casement windows. Inside, the ground floor features deep chamfered beams with ogee stops, and a blocked open fireplace. The first floor has deep chamfered beams with run-out stops.
