Description

This is a terrace of six houses located on St John's Street in Malmesbury. Built in the early 19th century, the terrace is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with brick party wall stacks and a stone slate roof. Each house has a double-depth plan and is arranged over two storeys and an attic, with a single window to each front. Segmental arches top the recessed doorways on the left-hand side. Original doors with four flush panels remain at Nos. 24-28; elsewhere, the doors are later 20th-century replacements. The windows are predominantly 8/8-pane sashes, with horns retained at Nos. 28 and 30. Windows at No. 32 have been replaced with late 20th-century sashes. Gable dormers with casements are present in the attic. Small gabled ranges extend from the rear of the properties. The interiors have not been inspected.
