Description
10 and 12 St John's Street are a pair of houses built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from limestone rubble with ashlar and brick dressings, featuring a brick party wall stack and a stone slate roof. The houses have a double-depth plan and are two storeys tall with an attic, each having one window range. No. 10 has a left-hand doorway with a panelled door, while No. 12 has a right-hand boarded door with a chamfered timber lintel leading to a through passage and an entrance on the right-hand side. Both houses have segmental-arched brick heads above 8/8-pane sash windows, as well as attic casements with leaded lights and original ironwork. The interior has not been inspected.
