Description

The Grove is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of limestone rubble and features a graded stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and attics, consisting of four bays with three rooms on the ground floor, while the centre bay is unheated. The entrance is located at the rear. It has timber casement windows with timber lintels, two hipped dormers, and gable stacks. There is a blocked door and window on the left gable, and a rear lean-to is present on the right end bay. The building served as a place of worship for the Baptist congregation from 1869 until about 1890.
