Description

This is a wayside cross, likely dating to the 14th or 15th century. It is constructed of limestone. The cross stands on a four-stepped base; the lowest step has a rounded nose. A cube-shaped base rises from the steps, with its rear face chamfered to an octagonal shape. The octagonal shaft features bar stops to the angle chamfers, and a single face is carved with a round disc. The shaft is broken off approximately 1.8 metres above ground level. It is designated as Ancient Monument number 293.
