Description

This is a house, originally one large dwelling but now divided into three separate properties at 14-18 Wadswick Lane, Corsham. It dates to the late 17th century and has been altered subsequently. The construction is of rubble stone with stone tiled roofs, featuring coped gables and west end and ridge stacks.

Number 14 has a hipped dormer above a 20th-century door within a glazed porch, and a rear wing extension dating to the 20th century. Number 16 has a projecting two-storey wing added in the 19th century to the front of the original buildings. A south-facing wall includes a two-light window above the front door, with a hood supported by brackets. Number 18 features two dormer gables to the front, each containing two-light mullion windows with hoodmoulds. These hoodmoulds are recessed ovolo-moulded to the right and recessed cyma-moulded to the left. The ground floor includes a 20th-century ovolo-moulded window with a hoodmould and a 20th-century casement set within a chamfered former doorcase. The end wall displays a 20th-century three-light mullion window with a hoodmould to the right, and a door in a chamfered surround with a hood on brackets. A rear wing includes an end stack.
