Description

Rectory House is an 18th-century brick building, originally a rectory, now a house. It has a layout resembling the letter 'L', with a projecting east wing that forms a gable facing the road. The house is two storeys high with an attic. The front door is fielded and panelled, topped by a canopy supported on consoles, which extends as a pediment on Ionic columns. Most windows are casement types, but one is a 16-pane sash. Chimneys include a gable stack and a larger stack where the wing joins the main building, bearing a datestone reading 'T G / 1755'. The rear elevation features two canted bays and irregular window placement. The interior has not been inspected.
