Description
The railings and piers in front of Parade House date from the early 18th century. They feature tall, flanking, panelled square stone piers with moulded capping and carved pineapple finials, with dwarf stone walls in between. The modern cast iron railings have urn-topped standards, and there are round-headed gates with low piers and pyramidal caps. A pitched path leads to the pavement. This structure, along with Nos 65 to 68, Nos 70 to 73, the railings and gates to Nos 68 and 70, the dwarf stone wall to No 72, No 64 (Lloyds Bank), and Usher's Brewery Corner Block, forms an outstanding group with No 8 and the premises occupied by K.J. Lestor to the southwest of No 8 Wicker Hill.
